If you remember, the last part of the quote that spurred my post Revival and Evangelism went like this:

A church which does not go out into the world to press the claims of the Kingdom would not know revival if it came.

I have been turning that over in my mind, and came up with a simple theory: If a church is more dedicated to a religious system than it is to following God, it will not recognize revival if revival comes in a form the system does not expect.

That happened during the time Jesus walked on earth, right? And I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s been happening ever since.
