Blog Introduction and Giveaway

I’d like to introduce you to my friend Vicki Kauffman’s blog, Written Down Big. Vicki’s writing is exquisite, intelligent, and flecked with humor.

Among my favorite of her writings is her series on womanhood. Just a quote to whet your appetite:

“Did you know that in addition to beauty appreciating, service rendering, and baby-producing faculties, there are other organs we give lesser thought to? The mind, for starters.”

The four posts in the womanhood series are titled Blame the Dolphins, The Balancing Act, Why Did She Buy That Field?, and Through Thinking Deserts. If that doesn’t pique your interest, I don’t know what will. You can read the first one of the series here.

Vicki is currently offering a giveaway. She describes a way to do creative journaling, then offers to give away a journaling package. If you don’t have time to do traditional journaling but wish you’d be able to jot down a few of the things in your heart, you’ll love her ideas. Plus, what’s not to love about a giveaway?

The giveaway closes on August 3.

This is fun. I’m thinking about doing a giveaway myself. Problem is, I’d want to give something to everyone.

    1. Don’t worry, I have plenty of ideas in the cooker. 😀 But I have been sick for the last week, and am finally recovering in time to pack for a trip! Sooo, I’m not sure when I’ll get to writing again. It’s nice of you not to get tired of me! 🙂

      1. Ok, a warning. There’s a subject relating to missions that is gnawing at my insides right now. Be prepared for the explosion. 😀

(Hopefully I can write from God’s grace and not from my own steam…)

I’m also thinking about some things related to caring for our souls, and also about raising children. You can pray for me that I will write as God leads!

Eeee! I can’t wait to read all of those things, and especially the missions one! Yippee doodle! You are so brave and strong to write what God tells you so publicly. Do people ever harrass you for it?
